CONCERT REVIEW: Motion City Soundtrack in Manila!




Motion City Soundtrack was on fire and busted their moves at the SM North Edsa Skydome last March 9, 2013!

 I got flashbacks of my college days while watching the band play infront of my eyes.


I was amazed that most of the attendees were high school and college kids singing their hearts out with most of the songs of the band.

Justin Pierre still sports that Eraserhead/ Robert Smith hairdo and was doing some stand up comedy monologues in between some songs. He was also a beneficiary of troll stuff toy thrown by a fan directly at this body. He was happy that the toy looked like him and decided to hang it on his mic stand.

The band performed minutes before 9 PM and finished around 10:05.
It was a fast concert but they were able to dish out 19 songs. Check out the concert set list below:

MCS were appreciative of the tight crowd and said that it was one of the loudest concert crowds that they have encountered.


I was just annoyed with those 2 kids using their Ipads to video the band because it really blocked my view. A crumpled paper could have been handy. LOL.



The concert was a pure bliss of emo-pop punk experience for me and its good to see these kids enjoying the show as well.


Kudos to RedStone Production & CNCA for bringing Motion City Soundtrack in Manila.

Concert Recall: Lotus Eaters Live in Manila August 3, 2002 Rockwell Club Tent. The Lotus Eaters: Jeremy Kelly and Peter Coyle / Early Years I was trying to recall all the concerts I have attended for the last few years. Being gulity on not attending the following concerts here in Manila: Rage Against the Machine, Pearl Jam, Cranberries, Beastie Boys, Sonic Youth and Foo Fighters, I need to start my blood thirst concert viewing ASAP! One of those memorable concerts that I attended to was the concert of the 80's new wave band: The Lotus Eaters. Deftones - To Have and to Hold

It is destined to be... ...Like Nostradamus foreseeing the future of rock concert scene in Singapore and Manila!  After seeing their tour list on their website last October that Deftones will have an Australian tour and Perth is the last city in February 2011, it was strategically correct that there is a big chance that they are going to push for an Asian tour. I posted on twitter and FB that “I smell Deftones live in Manila in February 2011!” I have suggested the possibility of bringing Deftones here in Manila to few organizers and one of them answered my prayers: Splintr.com, the same group who bravely brought the 90’s Premiere Industrial Rock Band Nine Inch Nails here in Manila. Bringing Deftones to Manila is the biggest follow up concert indeed from NIN.  And LAMC Productions will also bring Deftones in Singapore on February 16, 2011.
