James Harden and Eric Gordon @ NBA 3X

It's gonna be a superb NBA off season for the Philippines! And another James will be visiting the town.

After witnessing NBA Champion LeBron James, Filipinos will be thrilled again by the arrival of James Harden of the Houston Rockets and Eric Gordon of the New Orleans Pelicans this July 27, 2013 for the NBA 3X at the Mall of Asia.


As a Houston Rockets fan since the Yao Ming-Tracy Mcgrady era, Ron Arrest-Aaron Brooks days, and to the current Beardsanity-Linsanity connection, I would say it would be a great treat for all local Houston Rockets fans out there to see James Harden for the second time around since the Smart All Star Weekend 2 years ago.

I'm a fan since his demolishing of the Spurs from the 2011-2012 playoffs (even though I am a big Manu fan) and winning the 6th Man of the Year honors as a Thunder.  Then he was traded to the Rockets to become their franchise player. I was really satisfied that they were able to reach the play offs as the youngest team assembled from last season with only one player left from the previous roster: Chandler Parsons. Harden became also an All Star and was on the top 5 on the NBA scoring list as a first time Rocket last year. And with the addition of Dwight Howard, the Rockets are one of the teams to look out for on the Western Conference.


The newly renamed New Orleans Pelicans also got a bright future with its franchise player Eric Gordon. After being sidelined with injuries from last season, Eric was able to finish the season strong. And with the acquisition of Jrue Holiday and Tyreke Evans, plus mainstays Anthony Davis and Ryan Anderson, they had become the most intriguing youngest line up for the next season.

Having these two NBA stars gracing this year's NBA 3 on 3 compition would definitely inspire the participants to strive and win it all on the tournament.

One of those memorable concerts that I attended to was the concert of the 80's new wave band: The Lotus Eaters. Deftones - To Have and to Hold

It is destined to be... ...Like Nostradamus foreseeing the future of rock concert scene in Singapore and Manila!  After seeing their tour list on their website last October that Deftones will have an Australian tour and Perth is the last city in February 2011, it was strategically correct that there is a big chance that they are going to push for an Asian tour. I posted on twitter and FB that “I smell Deftones live in Manila in February 2011!” I have suggested the possibility of bringing Deftones here in Manila to few organizers and one of them answered my prayers: Splintr.com, the same group who bravely brought the 90’s Premiere Industrial Rock Band Nine Inch Nails here in Manila. Bringing Deftones to Manila is the biggest follow up concert indeed from NIN.  And LAMC Productions will also bring Deftones in Singapore on February 16, 2011.
